Jessie's is not a chain and has never pretended to be one. Rice is seasoned in-house each morning, fish is portioned by hand through the day, and the teriyaki grill runs from open to close.
The menu is deliberately wide — nigiri and sashimi for people who came for the fish, teriyaki bowls and yakisoba for people who came hungry, bento and kids' plates for everyone in between. Nothing is assembled before you ask for it.
